Project Manager A designated POC for managing all project activities during and throughout the contract period of performance. The project manager is ultimately responsible for ensuring that project members understand what is expected of them and what they should expect from one another. The PM leads the project planning activities, design reviews, tracks project milestones and schedule, reviews product submissions, implements and manages risk assessment strategy, implements cost control strategies, reviews pricing options, tracks cost overrun, reviews change requests, negotiates change orders, performs daily QC inspections, coordinates with contractors on security requirements and building access, administers contract requirements, involved with financial management, and project closeout. The project manager directs the creation, approval, and ongoing change control of the project plan. The PM is responsible for project management overall, which includes leading the project team in its successful execution of deliverables, and managing relationships with, and expectations of, the customer, throughout the project life cycle. The PM also leads day-to-day activities of the project team, by working closely with the project sponsor, program manager, and key stakeholders. This collaboration may also involve the Chief Architect, or other regional and national stakeholders as appropriate to the project’s scope and risk level. Job Requirements

The PM must have experience in developing and maintaining complex, long-term, multi-year project management activities including but not limited to: Developing and controlling budgets and funding strategies Scheduling and coordination of project interactions among existing and occupied facilities Managing interdisciplinary teams of professionals and supporting labor categories Integrating competing and/or conflicting elements into the planning and execution processes so that project requirements flow smoothly. Familiarity with Federal and local government office building projects, with procedural requirements, review requirements, and approval requirements. The PM must possess a degree in architecture, engineering, business management or construction management (from an accredited college/university) or in lieu of the degree the candidate must have 10 years of management experience in the construction management field. Physical and Environmental Demands

Constantly communicating with others to exchange information. Constantly repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers. Constantly assessing the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned. Occasionally ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like. Occasionally moving self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces. Occasionally remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods. Occasionally moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another. Occasionally adjusting or moving objects up to 20 pounds in all directions. Occasional low and high temperatures due to working outside during all seasons, along with elements such as precipitation.
