The

Certifications and Special Program Coordinator

has the primary responsibility for the timely, accurate, and efficient issuance of degree and enrollment certifications, diploma translations, and VA education benefit certifications for students and alumni of the Georgetown University Main Campus, including the Graduate School, the College of Arts & Sciences, McDonough School of Business, School of Foreign Service, School of Nursing, School of Health, and the School of Continuing Studies. In addition to certification duties, this position offers additional support for the Academic and Student Records team as needed. Additional duties include, but are not limited to:Fulfill student and alumni requests for certification letters and diploma translations, answering questions regarding document notarization.Ensure that information is provided in compliance with university policies and the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA).Verify any certification documents that must accompany official transcripts or must be certified and/or notarized by third parties, beginning the steps needed for apostille (international authentication of documents by rules of The Hague Convention).Assist the Assistant Registrar by serving as the secondary School Certifying Official, processing certifications and amendments of VA education Benefits and assisting with compliance surveys and internal compliance surveys.Attend education fairs and communicate about VA education benefits with the Department of Veteran Affairs processors students, alumni, and staff via phone, email, and in-person visits, posting grades in various Military Education Portals.Manage the enrollment for special programs such as the Senior Auditor Program, processing student admission, record creation, registration, billing, and sending updated information via email and phone calls to constituent program participants.Serve as the backup for the office information specialists at the front desk, providing answers to various questions from students, parents, alumni, and other individuals who contact the office in person, by phone, or by email.Work Interactions

These duties include analyzing the enrollment of student veterans who request VA Educational benefits and submitting the enrollment information using the Enrollment Manager portal. Coordination of special programs like the Senior Auditor program requires interaction with external colleagues as well as the student population and faculty. This position reports to the Assistant Registrar for Veterans Affairs and Certifications and fulfills other duties as assigned.Requirements And Qualifications

The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is: $19.20 - $28.70. Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University’s business needs and external factors.EEO Statement
