Experian is looking for an experienced Principal Engineer with experience leading engineering efforts. Reporting to the Senior Director of Software Development, you will lead projects and developers using the latest technologies. You will help design and implement product features. This is a technical role requiring excellent coding skills. You will develop a powerful, intuitive enterprise-level data platform built on Java and Node.js in an AWS environment.Qualifications
B.S. degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related discipline10+ years of software development experience building and testing applications following secure coding practicesExperience developing software for significant commercial software projects, collaborating as a member of a teamAt least 2 years of experience leading development teamsStay informed about relevant technology trends and developmentsComfortable in a dynamic environment and can adapt to multiple technologies while simultaneously working on multiple projectsCurrent cloud technology experience with AWS (Kubernetes, Fargate, EC2, S3, RDS PostgreSQL, Lambda, OpenSearch/Elasticsearch)Solid proficiency in SQL and NoSQL-based data access and management on PostgreSQL and MongoDB or AWS DocumentDbRecent hands-on experience building and supporting commercial systems managing data and transactions, including server-side development of Data Flow processes, incorporating Machine Learning models, performing Data Enrichment, and ETL processesExperience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) processes and practices (CodeCommit, CodeDeploy, CodePipeline/Harness/Jenkins/GitHub Actions, CLI, BitBucket/Git, etc.)Knowledgeable and experienced with software and system patterns and their application in prior worksExperience gathering and assessing specifications and requirements; experience supporting data science efforts; familiarity with creating and using Docker/Kubernetes applicationsAdditional Preferred ExperienceExperience building systems for financial services or tightly regulated businessesSecurity and privacy compliance (GDPR, CCPA, ISO 27001, PCI, HIPAA, etc.) experienceKnowledge and/or use of DDA, FDX, OFX, and/or FIX; familiarity creating and using Docker/Kubernetes/OpenShiftAdditional Information
