This open dialog builds trust within the team and helps create a better product for our customers.What you'll be doingSets the external and internal engagement strategy, applying expert writing and consulting skills to develop multi-layered high-visibility messaging and essential communications plans that have division-wide, global impact with our key stakeholders and partners.Manage key relationships and strategies with key quality external groups and develop Baxter positions in collaboration with member companies, such as (ASQ, PDA, MDIC, etc). Responsible for proactively building and leading strategic relationships with key industry stakeholders.Externally, interacts regularly with trade associations, federal, state and local officials as vital, representing and in some cases leads/advocates for the Company's interests with these groups.Key participant on the Baxter committee organization and provides insights of the quality organization to the broader team.Frequently interact with senior leaders and subject matter authorities to research and develop content, and to provide communications counsel.Recommends innovative approaches to delivering communications that effectively tell the global quality story, provides the overview, framework and "voice" across all channels.Uses strong interpersonal, persuasive, problem solving, and communication skills to facilitate the definition of program scope, goals, and results for all internal and external programs.Participate as a member of leadership to collaborate on appropriate programs and projects to ensure alignment with broader global programs and initiatives.What you'll bringBS in science, engineering, communications or similar degree, advanced degree preferred.Minimum of 10 years of experience in Quality, Manufacturing, R&D or related field in the medical products industry.7 years of management experience with demonstrated track record of employee promotion and development.Prior experience collaborating with internal and external stakeholders such as government agencies, executive leadership or related field.Ability to inspire change, influence and negotiate. Collaborative in nature, but also demonstrate courage to stand your ground when required. Proven track record to exercise good judgment and decision-making process.Proven leadership ability with a track record of making difficult decisions in a logical and rational manner.Comfortable working at a global level and in a highly matrixed environment.
