Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

You will be part of the System Architecture team responsible for working cross functionally to deliver current and next-generation performance, endurance, and value-add SSD features.

The role requires close interaction with teams including ASIC, Firmware, Hardware, System Design, Quality, Reliability, and Marketing.

Typical activities include tradeoff analysis, solution exploration/innovation, debugging, and modifying firmware and/or simulation models in order to evaluate these changes and assess the performance, power, and endurance of the product.

You will also develop and improve modeling infrastructure utilized in architectural tradeoff analyses.

You will work closely with an excellent team of engineers, cope with complex challenges, innovate, and develop products that will be sold in millions of units.

Qualifications:

REQUIRED:

Demonstrate creative problem solving skills and tradeoff analyses, adapting approach as needed for each engagement.

Possess excellent written and oral presentation skills, with the ability to engage, inspire, build credibility and engender trust across an organization.

Ability to work as part of a global team in multiple geographies.

B.Sc. in Computer Science or Software / Computer / Electrical Engineering.

At least 3 years of experience in RT / embedded systems.

At least 3 years of experience in building firmware for Solid State Drives.

Experience with scripting automation using Python.

Capable of developing wide system view for complex embedded systems.

Multi-disciplinary experience, including familiarity with Firmware and ASIC design.

PREFERRED:

Previous patent filing – advantage.

Previous scientific publications – advantage.

Previous experience with storage systems, protocols, and NAND flash – strong advantage.

An employee’s pay position within the salary range may be based on several factors including education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, performance, geographic location, and business needs.

The salary range is what we believe to be the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting and may be modified in the future.
