Responsibilities

SummaryThe Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing multi-channel strategic marketing plans to support business growth and retention. Manages content for customer touch points, documents business processes, and provides sales support. This position will interface cross-functionally with subject matter experts, operations staff, corporate executives and management, and various departments to implement marketing initiatives that drive demand, enhance the Company's reputation and market presence, and educate government agencies, legislators, and community stakeholders.Primary Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe Marketing Manager develops positioning, identifies target audiences, and conceptualizes marketing campaigns, while ensuring the alignment of communications and messaging in all channels.Leads the execution of marketing programs from start to finish, including campaign strategy, creative direction, and overall project management.The Marketing Manager supervises other marketing personnel by providing day-to-day oversight, coaching through feedback and direction, and ensuring team deliverables are met on time and within budget.Writes and edits high impact copy to articulate the value proposition, benefits, and product/service positioning for print, web, email, blogs, video, and social media.Manages content calendar for multiple business units and drives content creation for websites, social media, video, and email.The Marketing Manager develops creative briefs and guides creative direction to meet objectives for public-facing communications, including print, digital, and video assets.Analyzes customer insights, market analysis, and marketing best practices to build successful strategies.Partners with email, web, and creative team members to design, test, and evolve marketing campaigns.Evaluates projects using KPIs and feedback from stakeholders to measure and improve results.Maintains a strong relationship with the partnership development teams and is knowledgeable on the proposal development process and status.Collaborates with Product Management team to develop product launch marketing campaigns.Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum RequirementsBachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism, or related field.Seven (7) years of experience in marketing communications with experience in strategic planning and business writing.Two (2) years of personnel management experience.Excellent business writing and editing skills for grammar, voice, flow, and storytelling.Demonstrated project management and organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines, prioritize work, and manage concurrent projects.Working knowledge of digital marketing channels, including Search Engine Optimization (SEO), email marketing, and social media.Working knowledge of print production process.Ability to think strategically, creatively, and innovatively.Effective oral, written, and visual communication skills.Takes initiative to resolve issues and bring clarity to grey areas.Ability to manage processes that drive quality, speed, and volume.Excellent people and management skills to interact with staff, colleagues, and cross-functional teams.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.Working Conditions:

Encountered on a regular basis as part of the work this job performs.Typical office environment.Must have clear vision at 20 inches or less and at 20 feet or more, the ability to identify and distinguish colors, and the ability to adjust focus in order to develop marketing collateral, presentations and internal and external web pages.Must have the ability to lift up to 10 pounds in order to move boxes of marketing collateral and set up marketing displays.The GEO Group, Inc.
