Senior Mission Assurance Engineer , reporting to the

Sr. Director of Mission Assurance , to support the development of the systems that will be required for the design and build of artificial-gravity human-rated space stations.This will be a full-time,

location.Responsibilities:Develop and implement a risk processes across the organizationAssess and communicate technical risks to executive leadership and external stakeholdersEnsure risk process achieves outcome of increasing probability of mission success while documenting risk informed decisionsPrioritize actions to burn down highest risks and maintain an acceptable risk posture going into major tests and operationsAssess risk landscape for identification of potential trends and recommend corrective actionsTake ownership of the development of risk management tools to help it better serve our teamsMentor our engineering organization on best practices for risk identification and managementMinimum Qualifications:Minimum of a B.S. in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, materials engineering, mathematics, physics, or related technical disciplineAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings, fluid schematics, and electrical circuit diagramsExcellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, and ability to communicate technical information to non-technical partnersAbility to form relationships with experts from varying engineering fields and provide constructive feedbackPreferred Skills & Experience:Experience throughout the engineering lifecycle (design, build, operations, sustainment, and decommission)Strong understanding of engineering principles, particularly in the context of spaceflight applicationsAdditional Requirements:Ability to travel up to 50% of the timeWillingness to work evenings and/or weekends to support critical mission milestonesAbility to lift up to 25lbs unassistedSpecific certifications, as appropriateSalary Range:

California$150,000 - $200,000 USDCOMPENSATION AND BENEFITSBase salary will vary depending on job-related knowledge, education, skills, experience, business needs, and market demand.
