Defense Readiness Analyst

This position requires an active

Top Secret

clearance.

As a Defense Readiness Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing and reporting on the Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) defense readiness of Air Force installations. You will need access to various systems, such as the Management Internal Control Toolkit (MICT), Automated Readiness Information System (ARIS), and Defense Readiness Reporting System (DRRS), to ensure compliance with policies and accurate reporting. Coordination with entities like the Air Force Security Forces Center (AFSFC) and the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) is essential for assessing and analyzing mission assurance reports. Your role will involve preparing briefings, background papers, and other documentation, recommending corrective actions, and contributing to various teams focused on CBRN requirements and issues.

Compensation & Benefits:

Estimated Starting Salary Range for

Defense Readiness Analyst : $130,000 - $135,000

Pay commensurate with experience.

Defense Readiness Analyst Responsibilities Include:

Responsible to AF/A4CX to analyze and report status of installation CBRN Defense readiness.Requires access to Management Internal Control Toolkit (MICT), Automated Readiness Information System (ARIS), Defense Readiness Reporting System (DRRS) and Inspector General Evaluation Management System, unclassified and classified (IGEMS/IGEMS-C), to determine if installations and functional Air Force Specialties (AFS) are adhering to policy and reporting CBRN Defense readiness.Coordinate with Air Force Security Forces Center (AFSFC) to receive and analyze Department of the Air Force (DAF) Mission Assurance assessment reports.Analyzes data to determine if DAF installations are conducting exercises addressing current threats and where applicable, are conducting exercises with joint, coalition, allied, and/or host nation partners.Coordinate with Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) to receive and analyze DTRA Mission Assurance assessment reports pertaining to DAF installations and assets.Analyzes data and reports as well as lessons learned (LL) and develops trends to inform the DAF Civil Engineer, Emergency Management, Countering Weapons of Mass Destruction, and Mission Assurance governance bodies for information or action.Prepares briefings, Bullet Background Papers (BBPs), or other documentation in support of working groups, integrated product teams, and tiger teams analyzing CBRN requirements, programs and issues.Recommends corrective actions to the DAF government representatives.Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Defense Readiness Analyst Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:

Bachelors Degree in Homeland Security or Emergency Management.Minimum of ten (10) years of emergency management and CBRN Defense experience across a full spectrum threat environment.Local to DMV (DC, MD, VA).Proficient in MS Software Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
