We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Assistant Vice President (AVP) of IT Governance to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the IT governance framework, ensuring alignment with business objectives, and promoting efficient and effective use of IT resources. This role involves strategic planning, risk management, policy development, and compliance oversight to support the organization's growth and technological advancement.RESPONSIBILITIES:

Governance Framework Development:

Develop, implement, and maintain a robust IT governance framework that aligns with the organization’s strategic goals.Establish policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure IT operations support business objectives effectively.Collaborate with senior management to integrate IT governance into corporate governance practices.

Risk Management:

Identify and assess IT-related risks, including cybersecurity, compliance, and operational risks.Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize exposure to IT risks.Ensure regular audits and assessments are conducted to evaluate IT governance practices.

Compliance and Regulatory Oversight:

Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and industry best practices, including GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001, etc.Oversee the development and implementation of IT policies and controls to ensure compliance.Liaise with legal and compliance teams to address regulatory requirements and updates.

IT Strategy and Planning:

Collaborate with IT leadership to define and execute IT strategies that support business objectives.Assist in the development of long-term IT roadmaps, focusing on innovation and technology-driven growth.Monitor emerging technologies and trends to recommend strategic initiatives.

Stakeholder Management:

Act as a liaison between IT and business units to ensure alignment and effective communication.Work with cross-functional teams to ensure IT governance policies and practices are understood and followed.Facilitate training and awareness programs on IT governance and compliance for stakeholders.

Performance Measurement and Reporting:

Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the effectiveness of IT governance practices.Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on IT governance performance and initiatives.Conduct continuous improvement initiatives to enhance governance processes and outcomes.

Leadership and Team Management:

Lead and mentor the IT governance team, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.Provide guidance and support to team members in achieving their professional development goals.Promote collaboration and knowledge sharing across the IT department.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in IT governance, risk management, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.Experience with regulatory compliance and risk management in the IT domain.Strong knowledge of IT governance frameworks and standards such as COBIT, ITIL, and ISO 27001.Proven ability to develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and controls.Excellent analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills.Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.SKILLS:

Proficiency in IT governance tools and technologies.Understanding of IT infrastructure, applications, and cybersecurity principles.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to present complex information clearly and concisely to non-technical stakeholders.Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.Ability to assess complex situations and make informed decisions.Proven leadership and team management capabilities.Ability to inspire and motivate a team towards common goals.Experience in managing projects and driving initiatives from inception to completion.Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.CERTIFICATIONS:
