ResponsibilitiesPeraton is seeking highly qualified candidates to fill this amazing role for the upcoming

LONG-RANGE ENTERPRISE INTELLIGENCE, SURVEILLANCE, AND RECONNAISSANCE ACTIVITY

(LEIA). Peraton will deliver a broad spectrum of Command, Control, Communications, Computer, Cyber - Security, Combat Systems, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C6ISR) capabilities to support SOCPAC missions and its AORs.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Engineer to lead the design, development, and implementation of MBSE methodologies for complex systems across various domains. In this role, you will be responsible for applying MBSE tools and techniques to define system requirements, design architectures, and validate system functionality throughout the entire system lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the application of Model-Based Systems Engineering methodologies to develop system architectures and models using tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler, MagicDraw, or equivalent.

Translate stakeholder requirements into detailed system models, ensuring traceability from requirements through to design and implementation.

Guide the development and refinement of system models using SysML, UML, or other modeling languages.

Implement multidomain ISR architectures integrating land, air, maritime, space, and cyber intelligence platforms.

Ensure ISR platform requirements are documented, tracked, and validated against SOCPAC's evolving operational goals.

Develop and refine system architectures that incorporate multidomain platforms, enabling seamless data sharing, processing, and decision-making.

Ensure ISR systems are interoperable across U.S. military forces, allied forces, and partner nations.

Use MBSE tools to simulate ISR operations and assess performance, scalability, and integration across multidomain environments.

Validate system models through scenario-based testing to ensure alignment with operational realities and mission readiness.

Drive innovation in ISR technologies and processes, identifying new modeling techniques and tools to enhance SOCPAC's ISR capabilities.

Recommend improvements to ISR platforms, integrating AI, machine learning, and emerging technologies.

Partner with cross-functional teams, including software, hardware, and ISR domain experts, to ensure a unified approach to system design and development.

Liaise with external vendors, allied nations, and partner agencies to ensure interoperability of SOCPAC's ISR systems with coalition forces.

Develop and present technical documentation, system architectures, and reports to senior leadership, ensuring transparent communication of progress and challenges.

Provide training and mentorship to junior engineers on MBSE practices and tools.

Lead the execution and implementation of research projects, applying research theories and models to experiment design.

Monitor industry trends and attend key trade events to stay updated with the latest technological advancements.

QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.

8+ years of experience in systems engineering with at least 3+ years of experience specifically in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).

Expertise in MBSE tools, such as Cameo Systems Modeler, MagicDraw, Enterprise Architect, or equivalent. Additional experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Proficiency in modeling languages such as SysML and UML.

Strong understanding of systems engineering principles and the entire systems lifecycle, from concept development through deployment.

Experience in requirements analysis, system architecture, design, and system validation.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on complex system integration and performance optimization.

Experience working with multidomain ISR systems, with a deep understanding of ISR operations across air, land, sea, space, and cyber domains.

Preferred Qualifications:

INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) or ASEP certification.

OMG Certified Systems Modeling Professional (OCSMP) or similar certification.

Familiarity with DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF) or other enterprise architecture frameworks.

Experience with Agile methodologies and frameworks such as Scrum or SAFe.

Knowledge of AI/ML integration within system models, and experience with emerging technologies that enhance MBSE processes.

Active TS/SCI clearance or the ability to obtain it (for defense-related roles).

Additional Information:

This position may require travel to client sites or project locations as necessary.

The ideal candidate should be adaptable to working in fast-paced, dynamic environments, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Certifications (Highly Preferred):

INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) or ASEP.

OMG Certified Systems Modeling Professional (OCSMP).

Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) or SAFe for Architects (Scaled Agile Framework).

Certified Modeling & Simulation Professional (CMSP).

Project Management Professional (PMP).

CISSP or CISM (for cybersecurity-related roles).

Target Salary Range:

$104,000 - $166,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
