Seeking a Sr. Instock Manager to join Amazon Canada's Retail Hardlines business.In this role you’ll own the inventory management strategy for some of the world’s most exciting and well-known brands! You will be a member of a dynamic team that will drive supply chain improvements across multiple sourcing channels from around the world. Additionally, you’ll collaborate with some of the highest caliber vendor managers in one of the fastest growing and most exciting marketplaces.To be successful in this role you should be a general athlete who is comfortable with clarifying the ambiguous, simplifying the complex, inventing solutions, and relentlessly pursuing process improvement. We are a tight-knit, scrappy crew and are looking for our next teammate.A successful candidate must:Be highly organizedTake initiative, without having to ask permissionPossess strong data extraction and analytical acumenBuild bridges and influence across functions and organizationsA strong candidate will also:Have knowledge of fundamental business principles and/or previous retail experiencePossess advanced data extraction skills (i.e., SQL, Python)Understand how to read a P&L or have previous finance backgroundIf this is you — run, don’t walk, towards this incredible organization and your next big opportunity!Key job responsibilities:Joint planning and execution of retail strategies in partnership with our vendors and vendor managersManaging core Instock functions like buying, forecasting, assessing our inventory health, reporting and tracking KPIsImproving Instock systems and processes in partnership with partner teamsImproving cost structure and profitability while optimizing our inventoryMinimum requirements:5+ years of experience with ExcelBachelor's degree, or 5+ years of professional or military experienceExperience leading process improvement, systems development, and project managementExperience communicating results to senior leadershipExperience managing and analyzing large data setsPreferred qualifications:Knowledge of statistics or other analytical techniquesExperience with SQLExperience delivering results by partnering with and influencing othersKnowledge of P&LMBA or related Masters degreeAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $109,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.This position will remain posted until filled.
