TCI has an immediate need for an
Active Directory Architect in Frankfort, KY.
This is not a C2C opportunity. This is a long-term contract opportunity with probable extensions. In addition to competitive, market-rate based pay, TCI provides all our Consultants with Comprehensive Medical/Dental Insurance, 401k, Life Insurance and Long-Term Disability benefits.NOTE: This position requires US Citizenship or Permanent Residence.SUMMARYThis opportunity is with our State Government Client based in Frankfort, KY. The Active Directory Architect is to maintain supported directory and security services provided to the 171 school districts across Kentucky. In addition, this position will assist with creating strategies to maintain our current services. These services include a large Managed Security Services (MSS) Premises-Based Firewall Solution at each site, a single active directory forest with 180 domains servicing over 750,000 users, multiple Microsoft 365 Online offerings, and many other critical, high visibility identity and security software services. This position may require periodic on-call duty outside normal business hours to ensure that the supported systems are operating as intended and time sensitive deliverables are addressed. The on-call duties will be defined at the discretion of the client manager and/or the on-call policy for the organization.RESPONSIBILITIESDevelop strategies to improve the security posture.Perform firewall management and monitoring, including rule set configuration and validation.Provide operational support and management of the Enterprise Active Directory environment, in cooperation with Microsoft.Management of enterprise remote access solution.Serve as a project resource for major directory and security initiatives.Manage and support the provisioning system from an on-premises AD forest to multiple Microsoft Azure AD tenants via Azure AD Connect and Google Workspace for Education.Management of statewide DNS infrastructure (both Windows-based and Linux-based).Lead and/or assist in technical presentations to KY K-12 school district customers.REQUIREMENTSBachelor's Degree with a focus in IT or equivalent combination of experience/knowledge.5+ years of experience working as a System Architect with a specialty in Active Directory.Strong decision-making, conflict resolution, and facilitation skills.Detail oriented with advanced problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently/self-reliant and show initiative with minimum supervision.Ability to quickly learn new technology and apply appropriately to business situations.Strong team player who enjoys working in a fast-paced team atmosphere.Ability to work under pressure; meet strict deadlines.Ability to listen effectively and seek clarification.Ability to build a rapport with clients.Excellent written and oral communication skills in English .
Must be able to effectively and comfortably communicate with all types of individuals from the customer technical expert to the customer executive management.
