DRC is one of the largest educational assessment and curriculum/instruction companies in the industry.Summary:This position will involve offset/digital prepress, editing and correcting customer files, color correction, typesetting, proof production, and plate production using Kodak Prinergy workflow.Essential Position Responsibilities:Develop documents using desktop design systems and applicationsUnderstand the scope of document design related to external and internal clients including elements needed for scanning accuracyInteract with project managers to obtain or provide information regarding the design of current documentsPrioritize resources and tasks for the most efficient use of those resourcesMust be able to clearly communicate with team members and project management staff either verbally or in written formInteract with pressroom manager regarding plate/pressroom schedule
Preferred Qualifications:3-4 years experience in prep-for-design offset and digital printingAdvanced knowledge of Kodak Prinergy - Workshop, Preps, Insite; Acrobat, Pitstop, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, MS PublisherExperience with Mac and Windows operating systemsDesign and layout experienceKnowledge of direct to plate technology and imposition; prefer Kodak PrinergyAbility to multi-task, trouble-shoot problems quickly, and work independentlyUnderstands the correlation of quality inspection and ISO certification requirements
Essential Job Requirements:Report to work promptly when scheduledBe able to work under supervision and accept feedbackRelate effectively and work respectfully with diverse work groupsAbility to consistently perform well during times of increased work loadSet and meet deadlinesManage multiple job functions simultaneouslyComplete special projects as assigned

Physical Requirements:Ability to sit and/or stand for up to 8 hour periods of timeAbility to look at a computer monitor, utilize a keyboard and/or mouse for up to 8 hours per dayAbility to lift up to 40-50 pounds as necessary
This position will be occasionally exposed to some hazardous material and conditions. In addition there will also be occasional exposure to loud noise
