In this role, you'll work with a cross-functional team responsible for oversight of the development and test planning activities for a satellite communications systems release. To be considered for this role, you will have a Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field and a minimum of 5+ years of job-related experience. Due to the work performed in this facility, US citizenship is required.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Participating in the development of specific current release content objectives as part of a longer-term Increment Planning activityUnderstanding the release content objective impacts on each of the contributing development teamsDeveloping a high-level understanding of system functionality in order to validate and communicate impacts to Configuration ItemsSetting up milestones, determining communication plan and top-level release development scheduleOverseeing the execution of the development and testing of a release across the multiple contributing teams by coordinating, progress tracking, cross-team communicationEnsuring development schedules align for efficient use of system level lab testing/integration resourcesWorking with other System Engineers to ensure alignment and adequacy of test planning in order to help guarantee smooth System Test entry and executionInteracting with program management and development leads to coordinate, negotiate, and update priorities as neededTracking and driving resolution when teams are running into progress issues or aren’t communicating effectivelyCommunicating release development status in monthly reviewsCommunicating release content scope with deployment team and supporting their planning activitiesHelping identify process holes for lessons-learned improvement opportunitiesREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be a US CitizenDepartment of Defense Secret Security must be obtainable within a reasonable timeBachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field and a minimum of 5+ years of job-related experienceTrack record for successfully planning, testing, and releasing large software releases on scheduleExperience setting up milestones, determining communication plan and top-level release development scheduleExperience running internal and customer Failure Review Control Board (FRCB) meetingsStrong presentation and communication skills with experience in the art of negotiation and the ability to meet challenging customer requirements with win-win solutionsCreative thinker motivated to apply technical standards and methodologies to develop solutionsIf you are interested in this role, please apply via the apply now link provided.
