Job Description - PMO Project Manager (240002I1)
Description
The Project Manager manages cross-functional projects and strategic initiatives across the organization. The Project Manager reports to the Sr. Manager, PMO and is responsible for the overall project plan development, execution, and timely implementation of projects assigned to the PMO. The Project Manager works effectively with cross-functional project teams and stakeholders to ensure the timely execution of assigned projects within the required timeframes and budget.
Qualifications
Minimum Education
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Healthcare Management, Healthcare Administration, Project Management (Preferred)
High School Diploma or GED (Required)
Minimum Work Experience
5 years Project management experience in a managed care/health plan environment (Preferred)
3 years Prior project management experience (Required)
3 years Prior experience or work in a managed care or health plan environment (Required)
Required Skills/Knowledge

Knowledge and experience with Project Management principles, documents, and plans.
Job Functions
Manage cross-functional projects and resources to ensure progression and achievement of milestones; identify and resolve obstacles/barriers of success or risk associated with projects.
Identifies and analyzes the requirements for PMO-assigned project(s).
Identifies critical/risk issues and recommend solutions.
Develops comprehensive project plan development inclusive of business and IT activities and deliverables, as appropriate.
Develops comprehensive project teams inclusive of the appropriate subject matter expert (SMEs), contributors, internal and external stakeholders.
Manages project management resources supported by external vendors, where applicable.
Develops and presents PMO project dashboard and progress reports for assigned projects.
Facilitates and manages effective project team meetings. Facilitates meeting discussions with project teams, stakeholders to ensure project progression and issue resolution.
Appropriately manages and allocates time and resources in alignment with project schedules, milestones, and objectives.
Takes action and makes effective decisions to ensure project progression and success.
Effectively leverages technology and project management best practices to improve processes.
