Sr. Technical Program Manager, Events Technology, AWS Marketing Tech

The Event Technology Team within the AWS Marketing Technology organization is seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to join our team. We are looking for an individual who can build and maintain strategic relationships with stakeholders, manage highly complex programs spanning across global stakeholders to deliver results against Amazon’s dynamic security landscape. The successful candidate will be an exceptionally strong communicator both written and verbally, and will lead multi-discipline, highly technical project initiatives. The ideal candidate will have successfully managed and scaled multiple technology projects. The TPM will be fully competent in project management tools and techniques for all phases of the project lifecycle.

The Event Technology Team is a newly formed organization within AWS Marketing. This role will play a key role in building programs to bring greater levels of standardization, scale, and technical excellence across in-person and virtual event platforms. Leading various technical projects, managing/improving on our AppSec/Prodsec processes and working closely with 3P vendors, Engineering and Product to drive the delivery of Event Technology's roadmap.

Key Responsibilities

Work with 3P vendors, engineers, product managers, program managers, global stakeholders and operations team members to coordinate the launch of different services and products.Identify process improvement opportunities and high-risk areas.Work with service owners to develop innovative solutions to complex technical challenges.Lead the Application Security Process for in-person and virtual event platforms.

Minimum Qualifications

5+ years of technical program management experience working directly with 3P vendors or software engineering teams.Experience managing technical programs across cross-functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules.Experience in driving requirements and process improvements.Experience building and evaluating system-level technical design.Support business and stakeholders by seeking out opportunities to simplify and automate metrics and reporting.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
