Junior Packaging Lab Engineer

DescriptionAs a Packaging Lab Technician, you will contribute to the manufacturing environment by working with retail packaging. This position is ideal for candidates with a background in Packaging Science or those who have 0-3 years of experience in a relevant field.This role requires a commitment of 32 hours per week and familiarity with tools such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with CAPE, Artios, and CAD is advantageous but not mandatory. A self-starter mentality and the ability to work independently or in small teams are essential, as well as a strong time management skillset to juggle multiple activities.SkillsFamiliarity with Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Experience with CAPE, Artios, and CAD is a plus but not required.Self-starter attitude and willingness to take on new responsibilities.Strong time management and multitasking abilities.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with suppliers, Package Engineers, Package Testing Engineers, and cross-functional team members to complete projects.Assist in the design and development of packaging components related to projects.Help initiate and coordinate plant trials, including creating trial documents.Create and maintain package testing plans.Support engineers in developing Sustainability metrics and conducting product benchmarking studies by collecting relevant data on market packaging.Perform some lifting of cases (up to 35 lbs) for testing, comprising approximately 20% of the job.Employment Type: Full-Time
