Job Description

This role will be based in Sunnyvale, San Francisco or New York.

This role will be part of the Games team within our Growth organization. This team has been moving quickly launching the new games experience and has already established LinkedIn as a strong player with 3 beloved daily games (Queens, Pinpoint & Crossclimb). This role will work on maturing our playing experience, growing adoption and retention as well as developing new games.

Responsibilities:Effectively communicate conceptual ideas, design rationale and the specifics of user-centered design processCreate holistic design solutions that address business, brand, and user requirementsWork with web developers and engineers to deliver final productsQualificationsBasic Qualifications:BA/BS degree in graphic design, design communication, human-computer interaction, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experienceExperience participating in the complete product development lifecycle of web and/or software applications5+ years of experience in user experience design or industry experience (corporate, software, web or agency)To be considered for this position, you must include your portfolio, website or other samples of work.Preferred Qualifications:Experience in delivering medium to large-scale projects independently or with some support from senior ICs or ManagersCapable of influence across the respective business area and regularly engaging in cross-functional discussionsExperience in delivering design solutions for unstructured problems that have some dependencies on other products/teamsDemonstrated ability of coaching team to more effectively apply design patternsEffectively communicates ideas to the broader organizationExperience in solving structured problems that have few dependencies and dealing with a high level of ambiguitySuggested Skills:Product ThinkingVisual DesignInteraction DesignStorytellingLeadershipLinkedIn is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range for this role is $123,000 to $201,000. Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations. The total compensation package for this position may also include annual performance bonus, stock, benefits and/or other applicable incentive compensation plans.
