Job Description

As Quality Assurance Analyst you will be responsible for testing, analysis, maintenance, preparation and support of audits, assist with customer complaints and corrective action, ensure and set best practices for quality lab, participation in CI efforts and back up for Quality Manager as needed.

Demonstrates safety leadership by complying with all safety rules, policies, regulations and procedures; participating in safety programs, and encouraging employee involvement from all employees in all safety activities. Supports all written safety programs and safety training.Able to conduct all the QC tests as neededEnsure that food safety and quality systems satisfy and meet at all times all customer specifications, internal and regulatory requirements (ISO, GMP, FDA, Food Safety, Medical, Pharma etc.) applicable to industryAnalyze QA and/or other data for trends and issue reports as neededUse various statistical analyses to solve business/quality problemsMonitor and recommend improvements to critical inputs into the processesAssures that test equipment within the Quality Department is functional and appropriate.Conduct internal and supplier audits as neededPrepare for and assist with customer auditsSupport customer launchesAssist with customer complaints and corrective action processSupport investigations and follow up on corrective actionsCoordinate, conduct and review equipment calibrationsEnsure the smooth working of the quality laboratory: equipment maintenance and service contractsDetermine/capture best laboratory QC/QA practicesCoach Operations staff to ensure understanding/compliance with customer expectationsParticipate in continuous improvement projects as neededInterface with all departments and personnel: Production, Technical, Customer Service, Operations, Management, Shift Supervisors, Maintenance, etc.Perform other duties in the QA department as neededSubstitute for the Quality Manager as neededWHAT WE VALUE

Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with all personnelTraining or experience with FSSC 22000 standards and GMP'sMust have strong time management skills to handle multiple ongoing projectsComputer skills - including Microsoft Word and Excel. Statistical analysis program experience is desired.Working knowledge of statistical analysis techniques and software tools. Green Belt certification is beneficial.A general familiarity with manufacturing operations. A working knowledge of various converting raw materials would be a plus.Ability to work independently with minimal supervisionWHAT WE WANT FROM YOU

1-4 years college degree in Engineering or other technical field or equivalent3-5 years previous experience working in a Manufacturing or Quality environment desired.1+ year of experience in a comparable position, specifically analyzing problems and resolving customer issues, in a manufacturing environment.A thorough understanding of common Quality and Problem Solving tools such as ISO, FSSC 22000, Statistical Analysis, Pareto Charts, Histograms, Brainstorming, etc.Knowledge of problem-solving techniques, continuous improvement tools and methodologies (such as Six Sigma)Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and MinitabOur Expectations
