Role Summary:
Reporting to the Warehouse Shift Supervisor, the Warehouse Associate is responsible for supporting the materials management function of the logistics department and indirectly supporting the overall sales function. Warehouse Associate/Delivery Drivers are essential to the overall operation of the business. While specific daily tasks can vary depending on the company, a Warehouse Associates main responsibility is ensuring that all stock is accounted for, processed, and organized to meet company standards.

The essential duties and responsibilities of the Warehouse Associate position will consist of, but are not limited to, the following:
Performing defined warehouse activities specific to the receipt, placement into inventory, selection for shipment, and shipment of stockPick orders accurately and promptlyPack ordersReceive inventory accurately and promptlyRestock inventory in designated storage areasTruck loading and unloading according to established proceduresAccurately identify and count inventory in assigned areasMaintain quality and quantity performance and production standardsParticipate in ongoing general housekeeping of warehouseCheck assigned equipment for proper operation/functionality and communicate problems to Lead Warehouse Associate or SupervisorFollow safe work habits and established safety proceduresParticipate in safety initiatives as assignedAttend meetings and training sessionsOther warehouse tasks as assignedCompetencies you possess:

Work Experience : Entry LevelAnalytics/Computer Skills:
Ability to use standard office equipment, including but not limited to computerized bar code scanner, printer, and standard warehouse equipment/tools. Basic math and reasoning skills.Organization Skills:
Excellent work ethic, good verbal, and communication skills. Ability to work independently.Cross-functional skills:
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and through the direction of a direct Supervisor or Lead Warehouse Associate.Communication Skills:
Ability to communicate well with all levels of the organization. Know when to request assistance when appropriate, especially when lifting heavy objects.Physical, Mental and Visual Skills:

Ability to frequently lift/move up to 50lbs.Ability to stand/walk/lift, pull, and push during entire work shift.Ability to climb stair/step ladders up to 16 steps.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to temperature conditions prevalent at the time. The noise level in the work environment is consistent with that of a distribution center.Qualifications we prefer but don't require:
Work Experience:
Previous experience picking orders with an RF scanner is preferred.
