We have been retained to help a client fill a Business Development position. Our client is a leader in custom metal fabrication, offering innovative solutions to clients across various industries. With a reputation for quality craftsmanship and customer service, they provide a dynamic and supportive environment for growth and professional development.

Responsibilities :

New Business Development :

Identify and pursue new business opportunities within targeted industries.Conduct market research to understand trends, customer needs, and competition.Develop strategies to enter new markets and enhance market share in existing ones.

Client Relationship Management :

Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, ensuring long-term partnerships.Understand client requirements and work with engineering and production teams to develop tailored solutions.Provide ongoing support to clients, resolving issues, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Sales & Revenue Growth :

Achieve or exceed sales targets and revenue goals.Develop and implement sales strategies to capture new business and maximize revenue from existing accounts.Prepare proposals, quotations, and contracts in collaboration with technical teams.

Collaboration with Internal Teams :

Work closely with engineering, production, and project management teams to ensure seamless delivery of projects.Communicate client requirements effectively and ensure that production timelines and quality standards are met.

Negotiation & Closing :

Lead contract negotiations with clients, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.Manage the sales pipeline from lead generation to deal closure.

Marketing & Outreach :

Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to increase brand visibility.Collaborate with marketing teams to create promotional materials, case studies, and presentations to support sales efforts.

Reporting & Analysis :

Provide regular updates on sales activities, market conditions, and client feedback.Analyze sales data to forecast future trends and identify growth opportunities.

Skills & Qualifications :

Industry Knowledge :

Strong understanding of custom metal fabrication processes, materials, and industry standards.Familiarity with CAD software, CNC machining, welding, cutting, and finishing processes is an advantage.

Sales & Business Development :

Proven experience in B2B sales, preferably within the metal fabrication or manufacturing sector.Strong ability to identify potential clients and turn opportunities into revenue.Excellent negotiation and deal-closing skills.

Communication & Interpersonal Skills :

Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information to non-technical clients.Excellent interpersonal skills with a customer-focused approach.

Analytical & Strategic Thinking :

Ability to analyze market trends and create strategies for growth.Competence in preparing sales reports, forecasts, and budgets.

Project Management :

Ability to manage multiple projects and clients simultaneously.Experience working with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.

Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role in the metal fabrication or manufacturing industry.Experience with CRM software and sales pipeline management tools.A network of contacts within relevant industries (construction, manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, etc.).Compensation :
