Position Summary

Would you jump at the chance to lead College-wide internal communications for a major multi-year project? If so, consider joining the Academic and Student Affairs Division of Innovation and Technology as the Workday Project Internal Communications Manager. Our team interacts with others at all levels of the organization and enjoys constant variety and challenge. We're looking for a seasoned communications professional who models best practices in change management for projects that support student success. If you are an enthusiastic contributor who enjoys being in the middle of important work, wants to help shape organizational change, and are interested in serving as a key contributor to support the institutional migration to a new enterprise resource planning system (ERP), this is the position for you.

This position is remote with occasional required on-campus meetings.

Under the direction of the Workday Student Project Manager, the Workday Project Communications Manager oversees internal communications strategies, channels and methods that advance the College's Workday Project communications goals with internal constituents, divisions and departments.

This position serves as the point of contact for field inquiries and requests related to communicating and promoting Workday Project activities internally at the College. The Workday Project Communications Manager works with Marketing & Communication to plan and manage the flow of project and adoption communication to staff and partners within divisions such as Information Technology and Human Resources, updating and improving technical aspects of communications infrastructure, tools, channels, and employee email lists, and collaborating on the creation of guidelines and protocols for staff understanding at all levels.

This role serves as the Workday Project internal communications representative on committees that support and/or organize College-wide events. The Workday Project Communications Manager oversees and manages content and publication of the Workday Project website, an internal communications medium designed for staff.

Typical Duties and ResponsibilitiesOversees management and content of the Workday Project website. Creates, manages, and disseminates a digest of news and other content posted through varying communication channels that promotes events, exhibits, awards, and more related to PCC staff's successful adoption of the Workday ERP.Creates a mechanism for garnering news and project change impacts to promote within the Workday Project, and partners with the central Internal Communications team and other College communicators to collaboratively share news with one another.Creates Workday project-related inventory of all internal communications tools and a directory of stakeholder groups. Designs Workday Project protocols for how to use each internal communications tool and distributes it broadly throughout the Project Team for understanding.Serves as the key point of contact for the College to field inquiries related to the Workday Project; helps educate those inquiring about Workday tools, timeline, and change impacts.Attends district-wide committee and task force meetings at the College and collaborates on internal communications needs including district-wide events for faculty and staff.Applies the lens of social justice and racial equity to internal communications work, using the framework of PCC's Strategic Plan as appropriate.Supports special projects as assigned by managementMay supervise administrative services professional, paraprofessionals, technical support, and/or classified staff and perform both direct and indirect supervision through subordinates.Performs other duties as assigned.

To be considered, your application must demonstrate these minimum qualifications. (Experience is calculated based on the start and end dates you provide multiplied by the number of hours per week worked).

Bachelor's Degree in English, Communications, Business Administration, Education, Public Affairs, Public Administration, or related area.Relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis.Five (5) years of progressively responsible, professional experience in strategic internal communications, including two years (2) of lead or supervisory experience.Preferred Qualifications

Starting Salary ExpectationsMinimum$77,862 to range midpoint of $95,377. Placement will generally not exceed the mid-point, based on qualifications, experience, and internal equity.

Working Conditions and Physical RequirementsWork environment includes frequent disruptions and changes in priorities. Work is generally performed in an office environment with frequent interruptions and irregularities in the work schedule.Working hours may vary and occasional evening or weekend work is required. Frequent travel to other locations is required.Must have a valid driver license to operate a motor vehicle in the state of Oregon and possess an acceptable driving record.No special coordination beyond that used for normal mobility and handling of everyday objects and materials is needed to perform the job satisfactorily.
