In this 10-week specialized program, you will be working in our Design division. You will assist the Design & Merchandising teams and will be exposed to the fundamentals of retail and wholesale businesses.
Design Intern Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssisting the design team in creating designs that fit into seasonal concepts and specific brand visionsCollaborate with merchants to build assortments and react to fashion trendsProvides technical details to overseas vendors for managing sample developmentProduces sketches and may make seasonal presentations of proposed designsCreate and Manage tech packs through our PLM software and communicate with/ overseas vendors on sample developmentWork in-office Monday-Friday, Friday being a half-dayRequirements
Fashion Design, Industrial Design, Fashion Merchandising3.0 GPA or higherExcellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skillsExperience with PowerPoint, Word, and Excel preferred.Experience with Adobe Creative Suite a plus
Project
Interns will be assigned a group project and a mentor to help provide coaching & support throughout the project. The project will be presented in the final week to various leaders within the organization. The goal is to research and present a solution or recommendation based on white space within the company. This will give interns an opportunity to work with cross-functional departments and individuals across our multiple locations to put together a solution to create a positive change.
