Job Description: Associate Manager Role on the Instagram Communications Team

Job Description:

Decreasing agency scope. So, additional support is needed with campaigns.

Work with Instagram Comms team to support product and consumer priorities.Lead media strategy and execution for product updates and launches across Instagram with a focus on consumer-led media, creators and social publishers.Identify opportunities to tell creative, proactive stories that reach our target audiences outside of launches/tests. Think storytelling around gen-Z trends, creator case studies, music and viral IG moments.Support campaigns and initiatives across Instagram with press outreach, creator engagements and social opportunities to reach target audiences.Represent comms on cross-functional working teams, providing comms input for go-to-market plans, strategy, and tacticsCollaborate with product, marketing and partnerships teams to create and execute go-to-market plansBuild and manage deep relationships with consumer/tech reporters, beat reporters, and new media outlets that reach priority audiences and drive coverage

Minimum Qualifications:

4+ years experience in PR, journalism, social media, or relevant fieldYou understand the consumer and tech media landscape and can build + maintain relationships with key press relevant to Instagram; knowledge or experience working with youth culture reporters a plusYou aspire to find new, exciting ways to tell product and trend stories in next-gen publications and on social media platformsExperience working with consumer product to drive media coverage and campaignsExperience working with cross-functional teamsStrong writer with experience writing press statements, blogs, narratives and social copynalytical problem-solver who can think quick on your feet to find solutions

Interview Process:

1st round screening prev experience with HM and 2nd round with team to go a little further with dive experience and understanding of product/culture.

PR background/journalism/communications/media relations. There will be a lot of pitching involved.

- Must have previous experience pitching products, FAQ's blog posts.- Will work independently primarily- flexible and able to adapt to changes
