Compensation Data

This position offers a base salary typically between $135,000.00 and $232,000.00.

The position may be eligible for a role specific variable or performance based bonus and or other compensation elements.

Description

The Associate Director, Marketplace and Account Management Training is responsible, either independently or via oversight of a training vendor, in alignment with HPT&D Leadership, for defining the components of the overall learning strategy, including the analysis, design, and development, delivery, implementation, evaluation and approval, as it relates to the evolving US healthcare marketplace and Boehringer Ingelheim´s approach to Account Management for the HP organization, which requires a strong command of adult learning principles, training facilitation, content creation, technology, and be an expert for specific Marketplace and Account Management content, classes, processes or customer groups as assigned by the Director of Marketplace and Account Management Training.In addition to independent content development or oversight of content development, each Associate Director, Marketplace and Account Management Training will have primary responsibility as the lead Marketplace and Account Management Trainer for a particular functional area (i.e. Respiratory, CV/Met, OFEV, Oncology, Pipeline and Market Access Business Units), which will include identification of any training needs related to Marketplace and Account Management training, as well as delivery of Marketplace and Account Management Training Content via New Hire Training, On-going Training, including national meetings, POA´s or Launches.Although The Associate Director, Marketplace and Account Management Training will not be primarily responsible for owning and executing new hire training for customer facing representatives, it is expected that this trainer will be responsible for ensuring delivery of Marketplace and Account Management related content in such classes as New Hire or On-going training. Duties & Responsibilities

Background in strategic account management, district manager or equivalent leadership role calling on IDN´s, payor or specialty pharmacy customers preferred or previous training experience in account management or evolving marketplace.

Demonstrated high energy level, positive attitude, output driven, and team orientated.

Highly proficient with project management skills and expert knowledge of assigned business and leadership topics as part of curriculum development.

Strong leadership skills; demonstrated leading without authority.

Ability to influence, to drive consensus, to build credibility with senior leadership.

Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills, ability to access and influence various functional areas, and motivate groups to action through team building.

Demonstrated ability to achieve results in a highly matrixed organization.

History of successful performance.

High level of business acumen and understanding of the evolving marketplace.

Proficiency in MSOffice, Outlook, PowerPoint and BIPI computer applications.

Ability to travel - Assumes ~25-75% travel (including overnight travel).

Requirements

Bachelor´s degree required.

Ten (10) years´ experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with a minimum of 3 years successful experience in strategic account management, relevant managed markets, or specialty marketplace related role.

One to three (1-3) years of experience in leading projects required
