We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented accounting professional for our client to fill the role of an Staff Accountant. This position is integral to supporting the finance team by maintaining accurate financial records, processing accounts payable, and assisting with month-end close procedures. The ideal candidate will bring at least 1 year of experience in bookkeeping, with a solid understanding of debits and credits, and the ability to handle ad hoc projects creatively.

Responsibilities
Prepare monthly general ledger account reconciliations for prepaids, accrued expenses, fixed assets and various other accounts.
Participate in the month-end close process.
Prepare monthly journal entries with proper supporting documentation. Analyze and investigate variances.
Monitor and analyze accounts payable aging reports and provide commentary for outstanding/aged items.
Process Accounts Payable invoices accurately and efficiently, ensuring proper coding, approval, and documentation.
Review applicable invoices for 3-way match to Purchase Orders.
Ensure all AP documentation is attached to invoices and all back-up is attached to Journal Entries.
Collaborate with internal departments to ensure proper coding of transactions/invoices and resolve accounting issues.
Assist the CFO and Controller with special projects.
