About this opportunity:
Drives truck and van to the mall(s) to pick up gifts and take them to the Christmas warehouse. Responsible for driving the truck and van to and from homes, agencies, and churches to pick up gifts, stockings, etc. Loads and unloads gifts from the truck to the warehouse. Operates the truck and van in compliance with established Salvation Army standards and State driving regulations; lifts, carries, loads, and unloads Christmas donations, gifts, stocks, etc.; ensures the safety, security, and accountability of the vehicle and donations always; assists in performing work at the Christmas warehouse and center as requested.
Key responsibilities:
Drive a truck or van to malls to pick up gifts and take them to the warehouse.
Operates the truck and van in compliance with established Salvation Army standards.
Ensures the vehicle's safety, security, accountability, and donations at all times; assists in performing work at the Christmas warehouse and center as requested .
What we are looking for in you:
A High School diploma or GED
A minimum of two years' driving experience.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Work requires the ability to lift and carry and/or push/pull light (less than 25 lbs.) materials, supplies, and equipment. Light mobility: duties are usually performed by a combination of standing, walking, and primarily sitting.
Work is usually performed in a normal office environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like. Work requires driving a vehicle daily with exposure to the outdoors are physical discomforts associated with changes in weather such as rain, cold, snow, and heat, or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.
