Position: Agile Software SME

Location: Fort Eustis, VA

Responsibilities:

In this role you will provide oversight and coaching for FCC's agile software requirement efforts in support of all FID Functional Divisions (FDs) and Capability Development and Integration Directorates (CDIDs). Primary task is overseeing the implementation and execution of agile software requirements that are captured in all Army capability development documents being validated in FID, and secondary task is to coach and assist FID Capability Developers in analysis and integration during agile software capability development activities.Lead and support the processing of materiel solution software requirement documents in obtaining Army - Capabilities Integration Development System (A-CIDS) validation and approval.Attend requested FID FDs meetings that require an agile software development prospective and collaborate with supported the Product Owners (CDIDs, ACMs, APO, CFT), AFC (Modernization Integrators & G-3/5/7), and HQDA G8 portfolio managers.Lead work groups; prepare/present briefing products; provide EXSUMS/SIGACTS; track status of assigned actions; and keep stakeholders/leadership informed.Complete Level C Requirements Management Certification Training (RMCT) (required), Career Program 32 Level 1 and Level 2 Certification, and Agile Software Requirements training that aligns with RMCT Level C (required) as spelled out in the AFC A-CIDS guidebook.Qualifications:

Formal training in agile software development methodologies, which includes general understanding of: Development, Security, Operations (DevSecOps/DevOps), Scrum, Scrum at Scale (S@S), Kanban, Lean, and Scaled Agile Framework enterprise (SAFe).Willing to obtain a certification or credential that provides knowledge of roles and responsibilities within an agile software development team and determine how and when to use different methodologies; this could be satisfied through DAU ("Foundational Software Acquisition Management Credential" and "Agile: DoD Team Member Credential").Possess experience and be skilled in collaborating with team member, to help them understand the unique differences between traditional (waterfall, spiral) software development and how to implement agile values and principles.Knowledge of Test Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior Driven Development (BDD) is beneficial and desired.
