This is a full-time in-person tenure track position at the Assistant Professor rank beginning in the Fall 2025 semester. Salary is dependent upon qualifications and professional experience. The faculty member selected for this position is housed in the Graduate and Professional Studies branch in the College of Education. Courses may meet in the morning, late afternoon, or evening.JOB DUTIES:Teaching that fosters inclusive and equitable student successScholarly and Creative ActivitiesService/Contributions to the InstitutionService/Contributions to the CommunityStudent AdvisingREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:An earned doctorate in Counselor Education from a CACREP accredited program is required. ABD candidates from CACREP accredited programs will be considered, provided all degree requirements are completed by August 2025.Demonstrated potential for teaching excellence and scholarly activity at the university level is essential.Demonstrated ability and commitment to fostering an inclusive and diverse academic environment.A strong Counselor Education identity as evidenced by professional practice, active participation in counseling professional organizations, and research.Latinx/e Student Success Cohort criteria (demonstrate two or more of the following):

Excellence in teaching Latinx/e students;Effective service (e.g., advising, mentoring) to Latinx/e students;Research, scholarship, and/or creative artistic expression focused on the Latinx/e community;Knowledge (professional background and/or training experiences) that advances our institutional commitment to Latinx/e student success.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Experience in clinical and community settings is preferred.Experience in graduate-level instruction, supervision, mentoring, and research-related activities is essential.APPLICANT INSTRUCTIONS:Review of applicants will begin on November 15, 2024 and the position will remain open until filled.
