Learn more about benefits at Meta at this link: https://www.metacareers.com/facebook-life/benefits.Duties:Lead and oversee the user experience of a product from conception to launch in partnership with product managers, engineers, UX researchers and content strategists. Contribute to strategic decisions around the future direction of Meta’s products. Design, prototype, and build end-to-end flows and experiences that are simple and elegant for our supported platforms. Define, craft, and evolve designs within visual systems and/or standards. Proactively solicit and provide feedback from designers and a broader product team. Take broad, conceptual ideas and turn them into something useful and valuable. Design web and mobile workflows and user experiences that are adaptable to users’ changing needs. Utilize a full range of product, interaction, and visual design skills to seek out creative, design-led solutions to challenging problems. Give and solicit feedback from other designers in order to continually raise the bar for quality. Work alongside cross-functional teams to ensure the feasibility of the design and functionality with the necessary level of finesse. Partner with product managers, engineers, researchers, and content strategists to oversee the user experience of a product from conception until launch. Contribute to strategic decisions with the product and executive teams. Ensure cohesive branding with the marketing team. Identify ways in which technologies can provide new functionality and better user experiences. Provide additional post-launch design support to maximize continued efficiency in a constantly evolving environment. Number of direct reports may vary.Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Commercial Design, Industrial Design, or a related field and 24 months of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation. Foreign degree equivalent accepted. Requires experience in the following:1. Building and shipping applications or software at the level of whole features or products across avariety of platforms;2. Interaction design, including defining how an experience should behave based on understandingpeople's needs;3. Prototyping to demonstrate how a particular flow or interaction will work;4. Visual design, including typography, desktop or mobile user interface, color, layout, and iconography;5. Understanding product goals, identifying opportunities, and making decisions based on the impact tointernal and external users; and,6. Representing work to a broader product team and other leaders, clearly and succinctly articulating the goals and concepts.
