The Role and TeamJoin our dynamic Product Design team as a Product Designer, where your passion for creating exceptional user experiences will thrive. Our team is comprised of product designers, researchers and accessibility experts, all dedicated to tackling complex problems within our enterprise customer experience applications. You will get a chance to work on a variety of projects, including Generative-AI, Reporting, Admin Configuration, Digital and more.Please note that this position is remote, reporting directly to the Vice President of Product Design.Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

Confident in providing design support for a set of features or a small product.May assist other designers responsible for projects of larger scopeConfident collaborating closely with Product Managers, developers, researchers, and other designers.Confident in taking concrete, scoped ideas, and turning them into designs.With direct supervision, delivers mockups, prototypes, and design proposals to meet product and design requirements.With direct supervision, follows design standards and protocols to create easy to understand design specifications for use by the product and engineering teams.With direct supervision,may produce design resources for fellow designers to use in their day-to-day work, e.g. Design patterns

Core Competencies:Craft:

Able to understand users, their needs and expectations as well as how to seek new insights to improve design. Able to design and deliver usable design that meets the needs and expectations of the user by applying design thinking and according to the project scope and technical possibilities. Able to execute quickly according to design standards and protocols. Able to be detail oriented.Problem Solving: Able to apply design thinking to plan and effectively solve low- and medium-complexity problems.

Systems:

Understands design systems including UI components and UX patterns. Has a working understanding of accessibility use cases and requirements. Able to apply their knowledge, as needed, to all aspects of design work.

Communication:

Able to communicate effectively verbally and using established tools. Able to present work effectively according to design standards and protocols.

Organization:

Able to follow process protocols and manage time effectively. Learning how to plan work and involve members of cross-functional teams in a timely manner. Understands how to escalate issues in a timely manner.Collaboration: Able to collaborate with fellow designers and members of cross-functional teams to appropriately explore ideas, problem solve, and drive alignment on the best solutions and/or optimize the design process.

Team:

Able to be a team player who provides and accepts feedback. Able to contribute to a safe and productive work environment. Able to build strong working relationships.

Qualifications

2-4 years experience as a product designer with demonstrated results, preferably in designing Enterprise and SaaS applicationsKnowledge of user research, ideation, storytelling, prototyping, concept visualization, and design of interfacesDeveloping skills as a collaborator, and design contributorBachelor's degree or higherExcellent skill in FigmaExperience designing enterprise applications, reporting analytics tools.Medallia is committed to equal pay and transparency. The annual base salary range for this position is $131,000 - $171,000 USD. It is uncommon for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on a variety of factors. Medallia considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, candidate's work location, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, external market data, as well as, market and business considerations when making compensation decisions.Medallia also offers competitive health and wellness benefits, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, 401(k), short term and long term disability, life and AD&D insurance, statutory leaves, paid parental leave, and paid holidays.
