As a new member of the Revolution Medicines team, you will join other outstanding professionals in a tireless commitment to patients with cancers harboring mutations in the RAS signaling pathway.The Opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Patient Advocacy and Professional Relations to work collaboratively with other functions to build and lead our efforts in fostering strong relationships with patient advocacy and professional organizations. This role is pivotal in ensuring that patient perspectives and needs are integrated into our strategic initiatives and clinical development programs. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of patient advocacy, a strong network within the healthcare community, and exceptional leadership and collaboration skills.Leadership and Strategy:

Develop and execute the overall patient advocacy and professional relations strategy to support the company's mission and objectives.Lead a team of patient advocacy professionals and ensure alignment with organizational goals.Collaborate with senior leadership to integrate patient insights into business strategies and clinical development.Patient Advocacy:

Build and maintain strong relationships with patient advocacy groups, patient communities, and key stakeholders.Develop programs and initiatives to support patient engagement and ensure their voices are heard in the development and delivery of our products.Address patient concerns and feedback, and advocate for their needs within the company.Professional Relations:

Establish and nurture relationships with healthcare professional organizations, key opinion leaders (KOLs), and medical societies.Coordinate and facilitate interactions between our company and the medical community to support awareness and education.Oversee the planning and execution of professional events, symposia, and educational programs.Communication and Collaboration:

Serve as the primary liaison between the company and external patient and professional organizations.Prepare and present reports, updates, and strategic recommendations to executive leadership and other stakeholders.Collaborate with internal departments such as clinical development, regulatory affairs, and marketing to ensure cohesive messaging and strategic alignment.Compliance and Best Practices:

Ensure all patient advocacy and professional relations activities comply with relevant regulations, guidelines, and company policies.Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices to continually enhance the company's patient and professional engagement strategies.Required Skills, Experience and Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Healthcare, Business Administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.Minimum of 10+ years of experience in patient advocacy, professional relations, or a related field within the biotech or pharmaceutical industry.Proven track record of leading teams and managing cross-functional projects.Strong understanding of the biotech industry, regulatory environment, and patient advocacy landscape.Exceptional interpersonal, communication, collaboration and negotiation skills.Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders and influence decision-making processes.Demonstrated ability to think strategically and execute complex initiatives with attention to detail.Preferred Skills:

Experience in medical affairs or medical communications.Background in establishing and executing grants and independent medical education processes.Deep understanding of pre-approval patient access considerations.The base salary range for this full-time position is $270,000 to $320,000 for candidates based at our headquarters in Redwood City, CA. The range displayed on each job posting is intended to be the minimum and maximum salary for the position in Redwood City and will be adjusted for the local market a candidate is based. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
