Overview
We are looking for an experienced manager to join the Verkada Core Platform team. We are building the platform and shared services that will enable Verkada to quickly bring to market a suite of IoT devices and to power Verkada's "operating system for buildings." As a member of the Core team, you will be the architect, designer, and developer in a broad range of projects.Responsibilities
Be directly responsible for building and managing our Command product- it will include both frontend and backend engineers in your teamBe able to roll up your sleeves and actively write code or prototype new featuresInspire your team to create highly polished and delightful user experiencesWork closely with Product and Design to build and ship features and delight users and customersCollaborate with other engineering leaders to define, communicate, and execute on goals, priorities and processDrive the adoption of best practices, coding standards, and development methodologies to ensure the delivery of high-quality, maintainable code.Stay current with emerging technologies, trends, and industry developments, evaluating their potential impact on our web platforms and recommending innovative solutions.Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the web engineering team, encouraging knowledge sharing, skill-building, and career growth opportunities.Qualifications
