This role is responsible for developing and writing content for distribution through multiple channels, including digital, social, and print publications. Researches, writes, fact-checks, and edits thought leadership articles, columns, editorials, blogs, video scripts, and social media posts.Key ResponsibilitiesDrive the internal communication strategy to keep employees informed and engagedDevelop and manage an internal communication calendar to ensure timely and relevant messagingCreate content for internal platforms, such as the company intranet, employee newsletters, and internal presentationsManage external communication efforts to enhance the company’s brand image and reputationDevelop customer-focused messaging for product launches, service updates, and company newsProvide communication support to executive leadership, including speech writing and presentation developmentEnsure all external communications are consistent with the company’s voice and brand guidelinesContent, Strategy and DevelopmentDevelop and execute content strategies that align with the company’s goals and valuesCreate high-quality, customer-focused content for various channels, including websites, blogs, newsletters, white papers and social mediaWrite and edit communications such as memos and announcements to ensure consistent messaging across the organizationCollaborate with product and marketing teams to create case studies, white papers, and product-related content that effectively communicates market trends and product benefits to customersInternal CommunicationsDrive the internal communication strategy to keep employees informed and engagedDevelop and manage an internal communication calendar to ensure timely and relevant messagingCreate content for internal platforms, such as the company intranet, employee newsletters and intenal presentationsExternal CommunicationsManage external communication efforts to enhance the company’s brand image and reputationDevelop customer-focused messaging for product launches, service updates, and company news Provide communication support to executive leadership, including speech writing and presentation developmentEnsure all external communications are consistent with the company’s voice and brand guidelinesInstructions for completing the McKessonCollaboration & Stakeholder ManagementPartner closely with the segment marketing and communication teams to help influence and provide input to strategic direction and report the impact of your activitiesCollaborate with marketing colleagues, cross-functional teams, and adjacent teams (i.e., sales, product management, as well as external agencies/vendors)Resource for the Business Units and Solutions We SupportDemonstrate competency in the areas you supportWork with limited direction and determine and develop approaches to solutionsMinimum RequirementDegree or equivalent and typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience.Education4-year degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or the equivalent relevant business experience

Critical SkillsIdeally, 4+ years of experience with communication or marketing activitiesHealthcare industry experience preferredExceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a strong portfolio of workExperience in managing projects in a matrix organizationAdditional SkillsStrong critical thinking, analytic and problem-solving skillsAttention to detail, solid organizational skills, and proactive project managementKnowledge of company products and servicesFlexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple prioritiesExperienced in Microsoft SuiteWorking ConditionsGeneral office demands Travel up to 20% Location: RemoteWe are proud to offer a competitive compensation package at McKesson as part of our Total Rewards. This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.
