Construction Estimator

Job Summary:As a Construction Estimator, you will play a crucial role in our pre-construction process by preparing accurate cost estimates for a variety of construction projects. This position requires someone who is skilled in analyzing project documents, coordinating with subcontractors and suppliers, and working closely with our project management team to ensure competitive and comprehensive bids.Key Responsibilities:Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to prepare accurate cost estimates.Determine project scope, materials, labor, and equipment requirements.Solicit and evaluate quotes from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.Prepare detailed cost breakdowns and proposals for submission to clients.Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to refine and validate estimates.Assist in value engineering to optimize costs without compromising quality.Maintain an updated database of costs, materials, and labor for use in future estimates.Stay current with industry standards, pricing trends, and local regulations.Qualifications:Bachelors degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred).2-3 years of experience in construction estimating, preferably with a general contractor.Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., ProEst, PlanSwift, Bluebeam) and MS Office (Excel, Word).Strong analytical and mathematical skills with a high attention to detail.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents.Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.Knowledge of local building codes and construction regulations.What We Offer:Competitive salary and potential for performance-based bonuses.Comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and vision insurance.Opportunities for growth and professional development within the company.A positive and collaborative team environment.
