Zapata Technology is seeking an experienced Information Security Engineer, Journeyman level, for work at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland 21005. In this role, successful candidates will ensure quality and development of capabilities with the Distributed Common Ground Station-Army (DCGS-A) development team and customer stakeholders.~~~ This position is contingent pending Task Order Award. ~~~Compensation: $130-147K annually depending upon experience.Essential Functions:Seven (7) years of professional experience, appropriate computing environment certification, and the Army Information Assurance Technical (IAT Level II) Certification Best Business Practice, qualified in accordance with standards spelled out in DoD 8140 Directive.Will perform a variety of Cybersecurity tasks as defined by the NIST SP 800-181 National Cyberskills Workforce Framework (NCWF) & DoD Directive 8140.Collects and maintains data needed to meet system cybersecurity reporting. Communicates the value of information technology (IT) security throughout all levels of the organization stakeholders.Collaborates with stakeholders to establish the enterprise continuity of operations program, strategy, and mission assurance.Ensures that security improvement actions are evaluated, validated, and implemented as required.Ensures that cybersecurity inspections, tests, and reviews are coordinated for the network environment.Ensures that cybersecurity requirements are integrated into the continuity planning for that system and/or organization(s) per DoD Cyber Workforce Framework (DCWF) and the NIST Special Publication 800-181 which spells out the Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSA's) in detail to be combined with the DoD 8140 Directive of compliance to on-the-job certification requirements.Required Qualifications and Skills include:Certifications:

7 years. 1-3 years active eMASS experience.Education Level & Degree Required:Bachelor’s Degree, Computer Science, or other Engineering or Technical discipline with an Information Security or Cyber Security Concentration. Substitution for Degree: Experience can substitute for the degree provided the person has BOTH the relevant experience AND is fully Information Assurance (IA) certified in accordance with AR 25-2, Information Assurance, and the associated best business practice for IA Training and certification (IA Training BBP). Substitution for Degree: Relevant experience pertaining to certifications required, fully IAT Certified and must have minimum years of experience identified.Position Type:
