The IRP will allow RNs flexibility in scheduling short- or long-term assignments within our Mass General Brigham Hospitals at a premium rate of pay. All positions will be placed in inpatient or long term care units. This is an exciting opportunity for Nurses that are:Seeking flexible schedule or work/life balanceInterested in temporary work but not interested in travelingWant work flexibility; the ability to find the schedule that works for youLooking for opportunities to work on different types of units and hospitals within our system or a foot in the door to a long-term careerGeneral summary/ overview statement:The clinical nurse is a licensed registered nurse who is responsible for assuring competent, compassionate, individualized, nursing care for specific patients and families, including delegation to and supervision of non-professional clinical and support staff. The clinical nurse is responsible and accountable for the overall nursing care management of a designated group of patients. They collaborate with the Nursing Director and members of the Patient Care Team to achieve efficient patient outcomes. They also collaborate with the patient toward meeting the needs and expectations of the patient and family. Clinical nurses ensure that care is safe, efficient, effective, timely and meets the cultural, spiritual, and ethnic needs of each patient and family.Principal duties and responsibilities:Provides competent, compassionate patient- and family-centered nursing care based on scientific principles and the use of the nursing process and interdisciplinary teamwork.Collaborates with other professionals and directs support staff and nonprofessional nursing personnel in maintaining recognized standards.Participates in daily operational activities necessary for safe patient/staff environment.Qualifications:LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, and/or REGISTRATIONS (if applicable):Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.Specialty certification preferred.Education:Minimum 1 year of RN experience.Graduation from an accredited nursing program.Minimum BSN Required.EEO Statement:Mass General Brigham is an Equal Opportunity Employer & by embracing diverse skills, perspectives and ideas, we choose to lead.
