DescriptionThe Department of Homeland Security (DHS) is looking for a Network Administrator to provide ongoing support to ensure the continued operations, maintenance, and evolution of the Homeland Secure Data Network (HSDN) and the Classified Local Area Network (C-LAN).We are searching for a qualified candidate to bring their troubleshooting and organizational skills to maintain rugged edge networking solutions in support of key principals within the DHS organization. The ideal candidate will have a background in Cisco networking and preferably Juniper experience as well.Primary ResponsibilitiesSupport DHS Classified IT infrastructure data, voice, and video systems.Provide technical expertise to resolve networking events and tickets, as well as update and configure equipment while maintaining a configuration management process throughout the systems life cycle.Provide remote operations and administration as well as some local on-site maintenance as required in support of secure voice, data, and video services.Clearance Required:

Must possess active US

Clearance for consideration.Basic QualificationsBachelor's degree with 4 - 8 years of prior relevant experience or Master's degree with 2 - 6 years of prior relevant experience.Preferred experience with Cisco or Juniper Routing/Switching, and desktop IP phones/VTCs.Desire to work in a diverse, dynamic, and demanding work environment, with the capability to work both independently and with internal/external teams.Strong written and verbal communications skills, with a focus on Customer Engagement.Preferred QualificationsCisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)Windows Desktop Support experience.Experience providing support to VIP customers.DHS or other government contract experience.
