Main function
The Director of Finance will work with the CEO to oversee the financial performance of the practice. Main functions for the Director of Finance are overseeing financial activities, reporting on revenue, training and managing accounting and billing staff, budgeting, managing risk and improving financial processes.
Duties and responsibilities
Accurate and timely dissemination of financial management reports
Processing of accounts payable, supplies orders, bank reconciliations, and payroll
Work with organization’s CPA partner on tax compliance
Participate as a member of the Administration Team on a variety of special projects
Respond to CEO and Physician Partners with accurate and timely work
Manage billing and accounts payable departments
Communicate with co-workers, management, patients and others in a professional, courteous manner
Abide by government regulations, Employee Handbook, policies & procedures
Perform other duties as requested by Executive Director or Physician Partners
Qualifications - Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of finance and accounting functions including budgeting and internal controls
Management practices to lead staff
Financial and accounting reporting software experience
Ability to analyze financial data and prepare appropriate reports
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management team, staff, physicians, and the public
Requirements
Required
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting
Management Experience
Preferred
Master’s Degree or CPA
Medical Office Experience
Knowledge of Billing and Coding

Must be able to use a variety of office equipment including phone, copy machine, writing instruments, pc and fax.
