ASSOCIATE PORTFOLIO MANAGERJob Summary:The Associate Portfolio Manager works for different organizations that deal with finances and investments. The Associate Portfolio Manager informs clients about what type of investments they should make and what investment plans they should refrain from. A good knowledge of the economy and financial plans is essential to help in the growth of the organization.The Associate Portfolio Manager advises senior financial managers on policies to adopt for modest profits and conducts meetings to keep subordinates informed about new progress and policies. They also assign tasks to employees and ensure that work is completed efficiently.Essential Responsibilities:Coordinates with both internal and external parties during and after the underwriting, closing, and funding phases of each loan originated or acquired in the Secondary market.Assists with reporting key Commercial Banking metrics to internal departments, including originations, portfolio balances, fees, disbursement, and payoffs.Prepares customer portfolio and miscellaneous reports as needed, such as quarterly covenant monitoring reports and quarterly leveraged lending reports, ensuring timely completion.Monitors and provides weekly analysis of the Commercial Banking Portfolio, including past due, payment processing, and interest rate repricing.Monitors company performance of the loan portfolio, including financial performance and share price updates.Acts as a liaison between Commercial Banking and internal support departments and agent banks.Assists the Commercial Banking team with preparation of client presentations, waivers/amendments, and visit summaries.Assists in preparing credit reviews and maintaining logs.Assists during internal and external audits.Works with the Commercial Banking team to acquire knowledge of Credit Analysis.Resolves customer problems and complaints in accordance with FirstBank Florida's excellent service policy.Assists in implementing operational policy, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and bank requirements.Monitors bank-wide policies regarding Commercial Banking and related matters, including Leveraged Lending.Collaborates with closing, risk, servicing, and other departments on inquiries.Maintains and updates the Commercial Banking database, including lender sites and internal OnBase Credit Files.Promotes cross-selling of FirstBank Florida services and products.Performs other ad-hoc duties as necessary to familiarize with all department areas.Independence of Judgment:Independence of judgment is exercised according to established internal policies and guidelines.Impact of Errors:The impact of errors on this position could affect other departments' operations and have an economic impact on customers and the bank.Interpersonal Communication:Good interaction with customers and bank employees is essential.Education, Experience, Skills, and Abilities Required:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
