In this role, you will work across multiple business domains and stand-up automated solutions which enable workflows to be tested in accordance with defined business criteria. This work is in high demand and provides exposure to many areas of the brokerage and related platforms, with the team's efforts passionate about the most business-critical and strategic processes.We are looking for a self-motivated individual with a strong sense of ownership and a 'can-do' approach, able to work independently with minimal direction in a very fast-paced environment. As a Principal Software Development Engineer, you will be applying your strong software development and test automation skills to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve FI solutions. As a member of the FIWA Custom SMA Team, you will also be ensuring that software operates end-to-end across the FI Brokerage & its related platforms. This will involve defining and implementing appropriate testing frameworks and applying standard methodologies to ensure we are building the right product the right way. The role requires excellent technical test automation skills allied with analytical, communication, and collaboration skills. Engineers may work on their own or as part of a small team to implement solutions or support specific testing efforts based on business priorities.The Expertise You HaveA Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.Demonstrated ability with designing and building end-to-end test automation frameworks for SOAP/REST API testing.The Skills You BringApplication functional testing experience required (application development experience preferred).Multi-stack engineer with knowledge in a breadth of development technologies and test automation frameworks: (JAVA); Selenium, Cucumber, SOAP, Rest Assured, Database, AWS resources.Proficient in REST API testing standards and best practices, with the ability to design, develop, and implement comprehensive API test suites is required.Hands-on working experience of testing AWS services such as AWS Lambda, AWS Step Functions, AWS Secret Manager, S3, Simple Queue Service API Gateway and CloudWatch knowledge.Exposure to using monitoring tools such as Datadog and AWS CloudWatch for debugging and solving live code issues is nice to have.Excellent communication skills required.Strong problem resolution skills required.Ability to work in a team-oriented environment required.The Value You DeliverDevelop, design, implement technical automation solutions.Develop, design, integrate and implement continuous testing solutions.Communicate & Collaborate effectively to implement effective solutions.Monitor, manage and maintain ongoing execution of test suites.Identify departmental needs and make recommendations regarding technical direction.
