This role is responsible for assisting the Facility and leading the EHS culture whileensuring the facility remains in compliance with applicable regulations and corporatestandards.Job is an individual contributor.• Job is an individual contributor and has no direct reports.• Key member of the Facility EHS Team responsible for helping develop a strongEHS culture.• Focuses on coaching all levels of employees to achieve a best-in-class EHSperformance.• Reviews and updates safety policies and procedures on a routine and asneeded basis to assure compliance with applicable required federal, state, andlocal regulations and corporate standards.• Participates and/or executes EHS related audits and inspections on a routinebasis to verify compliance and identify opportunities for improvement.• Tracks corrective actions identified through audits and inspections to closure.• Promotes safety awareness and culture throughout the facility on all shiftsusing established, recognized, and innovative risk reduction techniques.• Follows up and helps manage workers compensation, liability or property claiminvestigations as related to root cause practices or behaviors and assist withidentifying corrective actions.• Participates on facility safety committees.• Administers EHS related training classes.• Assist in representing company during federal, state, and local safetyinspections for OSI facilities, as needed.• Tracks EHS metrics and manages related data.• Ability to communicate EHS metrics and goals to facility leadership and hourlyemployees.• This role has the responsibility to understand and places in practiceappropriate safety procedures. This responsibility is achieved through education, training, use of protective equipment (as applicable) and byfollowing safety policies, regulations, standards, and laws.• Perform other duties as assigned• Parter on corporate projects.• Matrix role to Plant Manager and to Corporate Safety

Required Skills4-6 years of experience in related field is preferred.• Knowledge of how to understand and apply EHS regulations, industry bestpractices and other related guidelines preferred.• GSP, ASP or other certifications, preferred.• Experience with Management Systems, such as ISO 14001 EnvironmentalManagement System and ISO 45001 Occupational Health and SafetyManagement System, preferred.• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both individually and in a groupsetting.• Must have interpersonal skills to influence others.• Excellent proficiency in all Microsoft Office Suite Products.

BA/BS or equivalent perferred in safety orenvironmental

Work can be performed within a manufacturing plant environment with noise,extreme temperatures, and significant movement of powered equipment, peopleand conveyor (may depend on the role).• Work conditions are typical of a food manufacturing facility.• This role does not require any domestic travel• Position may require the physical agility of lifting up to 50 pounds• Position may require frequent and/or infrequent of bending, squatting, pushing,pulling, stretching/reaching, use hands or fingers, talk, hear, feel objects, tools,controls and standing/walking on concrete flooring.• Position may require the physical ability to stand/walk for Greater than 4 hours
