Non-Teaching Posting Fall 2024 - Course Support PositionsThe Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology is seeking Stockroom / Course Support for Introduction to Experimentation, Organic Chemistry Laboratory, Analytical Chemistry Laboratory, Physical Chemistry Laboratory, General Chemistry Lecture, Organic Chemistry Lecture, and other undergraduate courses.
Stockroom support duties include:
Assisting with preparing reagents
Stocking equipment
Enforcing safety and proper handling of chemical waste
Staffing stockroom under the supervision of faculty in charge
Course support duties include:
Preparation for office hours
Proctoring
Handling grading of assignments or assessments as dictated by the course coordinators/lecturers
Providing support for lecturers in maintaining and populating the Learning Management Site for the course
Position Status:
Part Time
Qualifications:
Minimum Education and Experience:
BS or BA in Chemistry preferred. For technical course support, experience with Canvas required.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Canvas (if applying for course support)

Immunization Requirements:
Under Policy 100.3.1 Immunization Policy for Covered Individuals, if employment will commence during Flu Season, Rutgers University may require certain prospective employees to provide proof that they are vaccinated against Seasonal Influenza for the current Flu Season, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption.
