https://CEF.incJOB DESCRIPTION:The IT Technician is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of computer systems, networks, and related infrastructure. This role involves installing, configuring, and maintaining hardware and software, troubleshooting technical issues, and providing user support.ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Installing and configuring hardware and software components to ensure usability.Troubleshooting hardware and software issues.Ensuring electrical safety standards are met.Repairing or replacing damaged hardware.Upgrading the entire system to enable compatible software on all computers.Install and configure systems which support infrastructure and/or R&D activities.Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures.Performing tests and evaluations of new software and hardware.Providing support to users and being the first point of contact for error reporting.Establishing good relationships with all departments and colleagues.Conducting daily backup operations.Managing technical documentation.Operations and Support.Asset Management, includes 4 physical asset audits per year.Need to track inventory any time.Equipment purchase, shipping, assigning to users.Rack and stacking Server, lifting up to 50lb weight.QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.More than 2 years of experience in computer networks and systems maintenance.A+, Linux+, or Cisco Certified Network Associate accreditation advantageous.Foreman deployment experience.Ansible experience.RHEL, CENTOS, ROCKY, UBUNTU, and other Linux base OS installation, management, and support.Asset Management experience.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Attention to detail, good interpersonal skills, and good problem-solving skills.OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:Legally authorized to work in the U.S. without any restrictions.Okay to work 100% on-site in San Jose, California.
