On call required.SIGN ON BONUS $4,500The OR Tech is a member of the surgical team in the operating room who acts as the primary scrub person who handles instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary prior to and during the surgical procedure. It provides technical assistance during procedures in the operating and pain rooms. Provides patient care within the prevailing national and state standards of practice and the policies of the facility.Qualifications:The OR Tech will have an understanding of the procedures being performed and anticipates the needs of the surgeon. He/she has the necessary knowledge and ability to ensure quality patient care during the operative procedure and is constantly on vigil for maintenance of the sterile field.Surgical technologists are required to complete an accredited educational program for surgical technologists and hold and maintain a certified surgical technologist credential administered by a nationally recognized surgical technologist certifying body accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies and recognized by the American College of Surgeons and the Association of Surgical Technologists.Education: Graduate of accredited educational program for surgical technologists or an individual employed as a "surgical technologist" in a surgical facility on July 1, 2013 (validated documentation required).Experience: One year of experience preferred.Licensure/Certification:A Certified Surgical Technologist credential administered by a nationally recognized surgical technologist certifying body.Or a graduate of an accredited school of surgical technology must obtain the required certification within 12 months of graduation date.BLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required.Salary Range: $28-$42Benefits:Various health plans covering individuals or families with customizable options.Deductibles will not apply to services provided by a Steward provider (Tier 1).Office visits copay will be $0 when a member uses a Steward Provider (Tier 1).Mental Health and Substance Abuse office visits will be $0 for all In-Network providers.Other Benefits provided:Dental, Vision, Health Care Savings Account, Life Insurance, Short Term and Long-Term Disability, Tuition Reimbursement, Paid Time Off, Shift Differential, and more.About Steward Health Care: Over a decade ago, Steward Health Care System emerged as a different kind of health care company designed to usher in a new era of wellness.
