Manager, Treasury Balance Sheet ManagementJob OverviewBusiness Segment: Corporate & Investment BankingLocation: ZA, GP, Johannesburg, Baker Street 30To manage the execution of the funding plan and Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) to support the optimisation and management of SBSA's balance sheet, ensuring the bank's cash and liquidity requirements are met and existing assets are safeguarded, within regulatory limits and aiming to mitigate associated operational, financial, and reputational risks.QualificationsMinimum QualificationsQualified Chartered Accountant (CA)Experience RequiredGlobal Markets Treasury Balance Sheet Management: 1-2 yearsDetailed product understanding and trading execution ability on a wide range of money market, fixed income, foreign exchange, and credit products including associated derivative (linear and non-linear) instruments: 1-2 yearsExperience in financial markets, Treasury and Capital Management, or Assets and Liabilities Management (ALM), along with a solid understanding of financial instruments, e.g., loan, deposit, bond, etc.: 3-4 yearsProven banking experience (3-5 years) with an emphasis on Basel III and other banking-related regulatory frameworks.Additional InformationManage the relationship with suppliers. Review operational performance and system stability for all core systems in use in the business area through regular engagement with system and service providers. Support pricing of Global Market funding and lending as well as hedging of interest rate risk through execution of interest rate swaps. Ensure optimal funding mix and improve on diversification of foreign currency funding sources. Work closely with TCM, Internal Audit, Compliance, and Operational Risk on mitigating and managing risks. Engage with TCM to deliver the funding plan and strategic funding initiatives (example the DFI funding lines, Offshore funding). Oversee the negotiation of internal service level agreements with other business areas that are dependent on the delivery of the supported business area.
