PRIMARY FUNCTIONThe Level 3 Architectural Designer position requires an individual with passions for collaboration, critical thinking, professional growth, and great design, with an interest to work across one or more market sections including Mission Critical, Healthcare, Housing, PreK-12 schools, Higher Education, and Science and Technology. The ideal candidate approaches this role enthusiastically, excels working in a hybrid work environment under the supervision of a Project Architect, and is nimble and enjoys applying his/her/their talents through all phases of the project, from the earliest stages of a project's development through construction administration. guidelinesAssist the Project Architect with directing staff and developing strategies for project deliveryUnderstand the design intent and ability to communicate it through documentation with limited directionAssist with required code research for project assignmentsAssist with material and product research as required for project developmentParticipate in internal and/or external project meetings as required by scope and scheduleCoordinate with project team disciplines as needed by the projectPerform submittal reviews as assigned during bidding and construction administrationParticipate in technical reviews through all phases of the project to meet HED expectations for quality and project performanceAbility to assume Project Architect's responsibilities for short periods of timePerform other duties as assigned by the Project Architect, Project Manager, or Architecture Design Talent LeaderSKILL, KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEMinimum of a Bachelor of Science in Architecture (4-year) degreeAt a minimum, pursuit of Architecture license through the ARELicensure in local office jurisdiction preferredFamiliarity with and experience navigating the local Building CodeLEED Accredited preferredMinimum five years' experience in A/E industryAn understanding of the coordination aspects and related requirements of all design disciplinesExcellent written and verbal communication skills in EnglishStrong organizational skillsPossess the desire to learn how to motivate and mentor staff and delegate work assignmentsProficient in BIM/Revit as well as Microsoft Word, ExcelExperience in Revizto, Rhino, Bluebeam, Concept Board preferredVery detail-oriented, self-motivated, enthusiastic, and flexibleAbility to work well with others under deadline situationsA commitment to the principles of Justice, Equity, Diversity, and InclusionA desire to work at an organization where growth and positive impact is crucialPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSCapable of traveling to and from project sites for attending client, project, and construction meetingsAbility to access existing and new project sites for the purposes of project observation, investigation, and evaluationAbility to use equipment for communication and documentation purposesVisual acuity to perform responsibilities
