This person will become well versed in this discipline and be certified in the use of the calibration stamp for all pyrometry elements. Responsibilities will include troubleshooting of equipment and setups with independence while knowing when to reach out for assistance.Functions and Responsibilities:Performs all work in accordance with established standards and safety procedures.Proficient written and verbal communication skills.Works efficiently with personal computers and related software such as MS Office.Performs pressure calibrations on various pressure sensor types.Performs calibrations on temperature-controlled equipment such as furnaces, heated solution tanks, dryers, and other measuring devices such as flow benches.Works to internal and external specifications to ensure all compliance requirements are met.Properly utilizes and maintains all pyrometric tools and measuring devices.Tests, records, and analyzes results for internal and external review.Detects, evaluates, and implements improvements within the pyrometric discipline.Contributes to enhance the pyrometric online documentation and instructions.Assists in the training of other team members where expertise has been demonstrated.Working Conditions:Demonstrates proper and safe operation of equipment such as electronic measurement devices, fabrication and use of thermocouples, master electronic measurement devices, ladders, and work platforms with the appropriate safety equipment worn. Personal protection equipment includes various types of gloves, safety glasses, full face shields, hearing protection, respirators, high voltage protection, and fall protection.This person will be trained in accordance with the team's training matrix to build knowledge and expertise in all modules.Physical Requirements:Performs physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and frequent movement of the whole body, significant walking between sites with equipment/carts, lifting 50 pounds, climbing, balancing, and handling of material with fall protection as necessary.Compensation and Benefits:We offer a comprehensive and competitive total compensation package.
