The High-Risk Perinatal Unit at Inova Fairfax Hospital is seeking an experienced full-time Registered Nurse Unit Supervisor.

Schedule: 7am-7pm, 3x12 hour shift per week

This position is eligible for a competitive Sign-On Bonus. Candidates who are relocating 50 miles or further are also eligible for relocation assistance.

The High Risk Perinatal (HRP) Unit is an 18-bed unit in Inova's Women's Hospital located on the Inova Fairfax Medical Campus in Falls Church, Virginia. It is the largest inpatient unit in the country dedicated to the care of pregnant women requiring hospitalization for complications during pregnancy. Our patients have extended stays, allowing our nurses to build excellent relationships with patients and families. The HRP Unit is also our designated unit for post-partum overflow. Nurse to patient ratio is 4:1.

You will orient on High Risk Perinatal and Labor and Delivery. Our unit has 33 L&D beds and 6 C-Section ORs and performs over 10,000 births each year.

The Inova Registered Nurse Unit Supervisor:Front line leader accountable for delivering highly reliable results related to Quality and Best Practices to improve clinical operation of the unit; embraces, uses and understands the research behind nursing practice and quality tools. Required Experience:

At least one year of Registered Nurse clinical experience.

Minimum Education Requirement:BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associate's Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.

Minimum Licensure/ Certification Requirement:Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Virginia or hold a privilege to practice in the State of Virginia under the Enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association required upon start.Specialty certification (as required by the unit) within one year of hire.Completion of a revised Charge Nurse workshop within the first 90 days of employment.
