Job Description:Lead Advanced Practitioner Responsibilities:Facilitates Strategic Planning including, but not limited to: Partnership with the Department Chair and Executive Director with goal of optimizing the contribution of the Department Advanced Practitioners to the Departmental Overall Goals.AP fellowship when applicable.AP research/QI projects.Other Departmental and/or hospital-wide project participation as determined with the Lead AP, Department Chair (and/or designee) and Executive Director.Personnel management in concert with the Department Chair or designee including yearly evaluations of AP team (with Chair or designee when appropriate) and interval evaluations of newly hired APPs and others as warranted.Be available to meet regularly with AP team members.Participates in hiring process including being main contact for reviewing CVs, facilitating interview scheduling and communicating with hirees throughout the credentialing process.Facilitates the Department level clinical and operational onboarding/training process of newly hired APs.The advanced practitioner will have a supervising physician available at all times but will have the opportunity to take on a more autonomous role. Some of the Burlington Emergency Department shifts require management of our ED observation patients. No prior observation experience required.Requirements:Experience using EPIC is preferred.Active or eligibility for NP or PA license in the State of Massachusetts.DEA license.MCSR.Diversity is a core value at Beth Israel Lahey Health.
